Abstract
The measurement of radiation dose in diagnostic radiology considered to be some critical factor/s in optimizing radiation protection for healthcare practitioners, patients and public.
Purpose of test
To determine exposure rate at every occupied area outside of x-ray room and the position normally occupied by the operator (eg radiographer, x-ray operator, doctor, radiation worker) at the control area.
- Wall and Door Thickness test for x-ray room and operating theater room
Purpose of test
To determine the thickness of wall, door and lead glass/frame for room equipped with medical x-ray equipment, in term of mm lead equivalent.
Source of radiation used ;
i) Radioactive source
ii) X-ray machine (portable or mobile type)
